How the Nutcracker can Crack Your Head

I was walking inside the theater and noticed how all the people were greeting each and every guest. They would stand up and shake hands, but I would just sit down with an abhorring face.

Today was suppose to be the new episode of "Two and a Half Men", but my mother dragged me all the way here to watch "The Nutcracker". My mother and I were having a great dissension, but as always, my mother one the battle. I like to watch a ballet, but as I saw the back stage video of the ballet and saw all these little girls jumping all over the ballet studio, I started to think that this would be a disaster.

The lights dimmed down and the curtains opened. As the ballet start and all the ballerinas assimilated the stage, I started being meticulous about the ballerinas moves. I was hoping for them to fall on the floor because of their ballet shoes, but then I saw all the smiles in each face and how they were having so much fun even if they weren't coordinated. All of them looked adorable even if you were in the back row.

I didn't want the ending to come soon, but because I had so much fun, time flied like birds in the sky. All the little girls came up in front of the stage and bowed with a smile on each face. I stood up and the whole public lionized the ballerinas as if they were movie stars.

The Bosses of My World

I tried to run as fast as I could so I wouldn't be apprehended. I dashed and tried to find my way out into a safe place where no one could see me, so I wouldn't be hit with pillows and teddy bears. Even if they were small, they had already a conspiracy against my rules.

I'm suppose to be the boss of this place. Where my rules have to be followed with no one who would dare to protest. But as the gang of the chocolate chip cookies and "I want to watch Discovery Kids" comes in, my world becomes an anarchy. They become the bosses of what use to be my world. But when eight thirty strikes on the clock that hangs on the wall, the gang drops to the bed and sleep. Thats when peace comes back again.

God, I hate babysitting!

Eggs by Jerry Spinelli

Eggs, is a story written by Jerry Spinelli, which explains how something that you have lost can be found again with a friend that has experienced the same situation before. It is written in David, a nine year old boy, is sent to live with his grandmother after his mother died.

From the state of Minnesota, he moved to a new state in which he starts a new life. His father is the owner of a mall in Minnesota and is obligated to stay there from Monday to Friday and he only gets to see David at the weekends. After the death of David’s mother, his disposition had changed: David has never smiled again, never laughed and always has a serious face, he is never enthusiastic about events. He only has his father to be with and with the miss of his mother; he is the only person he is really close to him.

Then, David meets a girl named Primrose: aggressive, doesn’t let anyone insult her, and has moved from her mother also known as a psychic, but Primrose couldn’t stand her, so she moved to a car and made it her own room. Both these characters start a new friendship and continue their journey as David discovers new things.

This is one of the greatest books I have ever read. Jerry’s description of the characters and the plot makes you feel like you are in the story. Also, you can sense what feeling the character is going through and how you feel related to the character. This story has a great combination of comedy, hate, depression, and love at the same time. Even though the characters are different in many ways and fight a lot about things, they still become friends and still have fun. I have finally understood that even though something’s gone and you can’t see it, it’s actually kept in your heart, where it will stay forever.

Friendly Letter to Her

Dear Sheryl,
It has been years since I have seen you, and written to you, but I was finally extricated from my homework, and I had time to gingerly, grab a piece of paper, and write to you.
I wish to recur those days in which we use to go to school together, and jump around the playground. I wish we could go back to the fights we had in which changed our disposition, but in the end we would always forgive and forget.
I could encompass all those memories and turned them into an anthology which anonymous people can read, and enjoy. I know that visiting you will not be prevalent, but I'll try my best to come back and see you again. One day we will meet and it will be the happiest day of my life.

Your best friend forever,
Caterina Aragon

A Slow-Motion Love

confession.png I'm here to confess today that I like someone a lot. It has been a year since I have this feeling kept from him and other people. How it happened? I'll tell you how it all started....
It was a sunny-friday and I just sit down that the second last seat in the bus. It was really hot because the bus did not have any air conditioner. My brother, who just came from a soccer practice, sat on the back seat of the bus like all seniors do and I heard the window swing open.
"Hey! Can I ask you a question?" I turned around thinking it was me who he was talking to, but I saw he was talking to someone else and when I looked down to see who it was, my mind just froze. Everything began to move in slow motion. It was him, talking to my brother.
He was perfect: silky shiny brown hair, brown eyes that shined with the sun, perfect posture, beautiful face, everything was perfect. I just saw him and I was electrified. When the wind blew, he would shake his head to the left so that his hair would not block his view, but his hair was so shiny it made you just want to touch it.
And when he smiled, I felt that my heart was about to explode, but I sat down again because I blushed really hard.
"Oh, and by the way, this is my sister. Caterina!" NO! I had to stand up and wave at him, but I was afraid he would see how red my face was. I stud up and he smiled at me while he waved. Shyly I waved back and blushed even more. I saw his perfect smile again. Then I just sat down immediately.
The last thing I heard before the monitor told my brother to close the window was "she is coming to our band practice!" I lifted my face in shock and looked at my brother.
"What?" He stared at me for three seconds, "Do you have a fever?" I shook my head and sat down again.
Every Wednesday, after school, I would go and see him practice with the band which made my feelings for him grow even more and still to this day, I really, really do like him a lot.

A Pain for Love

You know that pain in your heart that feels like the world is falling on you? When your chest starts to hurt, when your heart pounds, but not for love.
It was just that sentence, just those seven words, "My sister is going out with him." And with that, I vanish from this world in deep consternation.
It's a pain you beseech for its goodbye. For it to disappear and let your tears dry off. A lavish pain that is stuck there like the pages of a tight bound book.
After the news I stand up, grab my stuff and I just walk with a haughty attitude, although right there, deep down, I am handcuffed with the needle of sadness that is stabbed right through my heart.
I sit on the back seat so nobody would notice and look into the deep blue sky, pondering what could of been a happy ending, for me, but as I wake up from that ridiculous dream and started to face the ugly truth. Tears run down like a river and I put my bag on the floor. I lay prostate on the rough seat at the end of the bus, and I sob knowing that this pain I felt was for a farewell love.

Tanka

The game has started
Evey body is watching
Anxiously waiting
The team scores a brutal goal
With joy, every body screams.
