A Slow-Motion Love

I'm here to confess today that I like someone a lot. It has been a year since I have this feeling kept from him and other people. How it happened? I'll tell you how it all started....

It was a sunny-friday and I just sit down that the second last seat in the bus. It was really hot because the bus did not have any air conditioner. My brother, who just came from a soccer practice, sat on the back seat of the bus like all seniors do and I heard the window swing open.

"Hey! Can I ask you a question?" I turned around thinking it was me who he was talking to, but I saw he was talking to someone else and when I looked down to see who it was, my mind just froze. Everything began to move in slow motion. It was him, talking to my brother.

He was perfect: silky shiny brown hair, brown eyes that shined with the sun, perfect posture, beautiful face, everything was perfect. I just saw him and I was electrified. When the wind blew, he would shake his head to the left so that his hair would not block his view, but his hair was so shiny it made you just want to touch it.

And when he smiled, I felt that my heart was about to explode, but I sat down again because I blushed really hard.

"Oh, and by the way, this is my sister. Caterina!" NO! I had to stand up and wave at him, but I was afraid he would see how red my face was. I stud up and he smiled at me while he waved. Shyly I waved back and blushed even more. I saw his perfect smile again. Then I just sat down immediately.

The last thing I heard before the monitor told my brother to close the window was "she is coming to our band practice!" I lifted my face in shock and looked at my brother.

"What?" He stared at me for three seconds, "Do you have a fever?" I shook my head and sat down again.

Every Wednesday, after school, I would go and see him practice with the band which made my feelings for him grow even more and still to this day, I really, really do like him a lot.
